A Campsite Under the Milky Way

I recently completed the 70-mile Circle of Solitude backpack in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in California. As the name implies, we saw hardly anyone during this hike. We hiked through varied terrain and had stupendously beautiful campsites.

I rented the Sony 20 1.8 and Sony 14 1.8 for this trip. Both had quite soft corners and field curvature, making them poor choices for astrophotography. I won't be adding them to my collection, and will be sticking with my Sigma 14-24 f/2.8. Even at f/2.8, it's significantly sharper than the Sonies.
