Mars above the Keck Lasers
This past summer, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn were simultaneously visible in the evening sky. It was quite impressive seeing them all in a line. In this photo, Mars rises as Kecks 1 and 2 propagate their adaptive optics lasers atop Mauna Kea on Hawaii's Big Island.
Gear note: my other cameras were filming timelapse, so I shot this with a Canon M5 mirrorless camera and an adapted Rokinon 24 1.4. Despite being APS-C, the M5's noise performance is really quite good.
