Lava Firehose
I made another hike out to the lava firehose this past weekend. It has receded into the cliff since my previous photos, so less of it is visible. The National Park has a viewing area roped off 1/2 mile from the flow, and so you can't even get a clear view of it (this is the best you can do from the legal area). Meanwhile, boats circled the lava just ~100 feet away.
I carried a Nikon 1000mm f/11 lens the four miles out there and used it to shoot this photo. For anyone with a cell phone, the lava firehose is going to only be a couple pixels tall.
