A Unique Campsite

Last week I did the brutal 10-mile-each-way off-trail backpack to Reflection Canyon, a side canyon of Lake Powell. It wasn't known if we could find water, so I carried 7 liters. Between that and two camera bodies/2 tripods/4 lenses, my backpack weighed in at 55 lbs. We camped two nights on the edge of an 800-ft cliff, explored during the day, and filmed timelapse at night. On the second evening, a storm rolled in at sunset. It was an amazing and beautiful trip--more photos to come.

Shot with a Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 at 14mm f/8 on a Canon 6D in light rain.
