Peacekeeper Monument
This is a shot of the Peacekeepers monument in downtown Ottawa. I originally posted this back in 2008. I was recently contacted by the Canadian Legion Magazine (for non-Canadians that's the official magazine of the country's military veterans) and asked if they could use the shot. I almost never processed shots back then so since the original shot was dark in some places (the figure was almost a silhouette) I processed this up so it would print better. If any of you are Legion members this shot will be in their January issue.
On the downside, we've had another round of layoffs. That brings us to two years of layoffs ever quarter. I'm still there, but a lot of good people aren't. I'm sure they'll all find new positions, though. The economy in this area is going fairly well now.
