Shore Wainscot (Mythimna litoralis)
County Donegal, July 2024. A scarce moth in Ireland and a first for me. the larvae feeds on Marram grass, so not surprisingly the moth is restricted to sand dunes. I was surprised to see this one as it was well back from the foredunes. Now to find one closer to home.
