A Fond Farewell

Soon I will be calling a different ocean my home.

 

This recent visit to the Pacific was a fond farewell and I was lucky enough to share it with friends.

 

I've relocated across oceans before and it's an experience that evokes a strange mix of emotions.

 

On one side of the emotional rollercoaster, there is some sadness that the place I love so much has changed so drastically and so quickly.

 

On the other side is the excitement and optimism for new shores, new adventures, new challenges, and new friends to be made.

 

I hope my old friends will keep in touch, visit often and share in these new adventures.

 

Till then, I'll enjoy this image of a glorious sunset at Sombrio Beach on Vancouver Island. I'll always remember the sound of the crashing waves and the hungry birds, the wonderful aroma of that sea spray, and the glorious colours of those West Coast sunsets.
