'The Chaffening' - Tonquin Valley, Jasper

This image required a 50 km hike and resulted in a third degree crotch burn.

 

Genius that I am, I figured that applying some gaffa tape to cover up the crotch chaff from 25km of hiking up the hill would be a good solution.

 

Turns out it was a terrible idea.

 

By the time we hiked the remaining 25km down, I'd made the problem ten times worse and could barely walk once the adrenalin had worn off.

 

It took almost a week before I could walk properly again.

 

Was it worth it?
