Celebrities strike gold at charity challenge pit-stop Gold and pink proved a winning combination when the Chris Evans FAB1Million roadshow arrived to a huge welcome at Warrington's Golden Square Shopping Centre this week to raise money in memory of his beloved mum. The radio superstar was joined by musical legend Gary Barlow, Top Gear's James May and BBC brainbox Professor Brian Cox at their only north of England pit-stop of their Fab1Million Lands End to John O'Groats challenge. The famous four were surrounded by a sea of pink t-shirts and wigs in Golden Square's Old Market Place midway through their 24 hour challenge to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Care. Forty lucky supporters won the chance to have their picture taken with the celebrities before a tombola plucked out a name to win the Fab1 Rolls Royce for the day. Golden Square's general manager, Ian Cox, said: "The atmosphere was fantastic and it was great to see the town come together for such a worthy cause. Watching the superstars of radio, TV and music and seeing the crowds reactions was brilliant. "It also touched everyone's hearts to see the breast cancer survivors turn out to share their stories and show their courage. It was a truly inspiring event." Host of the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show and The One Show, Chris Evans kick started his year-long campaign to raise £1million for the charity, after loosing his mum to the disease which is diagnosed in someone every ten minutes in the UK. The team arrived in a brand new pink extended wheelbase bespoke Rolls-Royce Ghost which was gifted by the iconic car marque for a year, complete with the FAB1 Lady Penelope Thunderbirds plate which is owned by car-fantatic Evans. Ian Cox added: "Everyone knows someone who has been affe
