Rubik's Koopa Paratroopa Stitch

Curious to see what the next sprite I'd love to have in Rubik's Cube pop-art wall hanging form, I wrote out the moves for a Koopa Paratroopa from NES Super Mario Bros., and then solved and unsolved 1 cube 54 times, taking a picture of each, and stitching them together in Photoshop. Unfortunately a real version of such a thing, even with the cheapest standard cube from www.rubiks.com, would run me $582.71US, before tax and shipping, which is purely an insane amount of money for such a thing. I could do it with official 3x3 keychains for a mere $242.51, again, pre-tax and S&H, but I won't.
