Rubik's Magnetic Cube prototype: comparison
The final comparison - black Assembly Cube on the left, which I "built myself," from the online kit (~$12 with PVC stickers), and magnetic acrylic cube on the right, which I literally built myself, and designed (~$80, before learning they exist for $5 from China). It was a lot of fun to build, is not nearly as easy to handle as a well lubed Assembly Cube, but is in its own way, quite pretty and enjoyable.
