Indian Creek off The Buffalo River Arkansas
by garybaird
Linda a good friend and I hiked up the trail at Indian Creek. It is about a five-mile hike round-trip. The trail starts at about an altitude of 900 feet at the Buffalo River. It climbed to somewhere around 1500 feet, and the height of this narrow canyon is about 2100 feet. At the trail's beginning the canyon is about a half a mile wide. There was not as much water in the creek as I had expected. Linda said that the water flow was good for the creek. It was amazing how the creek carved its way down the mountain. Spring is the start of a new cycle, and the wildflowers were putting on a show.
