Leesylvania Sunrise
Here comes the sun .....
More often than not, when I go to Leesylvania State Park I go early enough to catch the sunrise. The view from Freestone Point is one of my favorite sunrise locations in the greater DC area. This shot was about 15 minutes before the sun appeared over the horizon.
The Potomac River is about 3 miles (5km) across at this location. The pier shown here is where I photograph the nearby Osprey nest and where I was while taking the other two shots in this series.
