Springfield Brewery, Wolverhampton 15/05/2009

This is the former home of brewing company Mitchells and Butlers, who brewed Springfield Bitter amongst other beers.

The brewery was originally a traditional Victorian tower brewery built for William Butler in 1873. The ornate entrance gate with it’s canopy date from the 1880's. This is the crest above the main gate.

Some of the brewery buildings have now been demolished, but many are currently being incorporated into a brand new multi-use development.
