peering into the beaniverse
the cloudgate a.k.a the bean in chicago attracts swarms of visitors almost all year round to immerse themselves in the light distorting weirdness it provides. for myself I love taking people there to watch their reaction as the powerful waves of fascination and wonder eminating from the beaniverse slowly catch them up and draw out a little of their inner child. also, it's just great to photograph :)
kids are the best because they don't have to pretend to be grown up about it and will explore it with abandon. last time I was there I saw a boy licking the sculpture and trying to look down his own throat at the same time. I almost dropped my camera laughing.
