James Gray's restored 42101, here awaiting a full repaint, worked a load trial to Moss Vale via Wollongong on the Cockatoo Run timetable, and also delivered three NAM sleeping cars (owned by the late Ken Butt) and bequeathed to the Canberra Railway Museum. These were collected at Moss Vale by 4403, while the 421/45 and three Cockatoo Run cars, shown here, returned to Sydney via Robertson.
