IAN MAKSIN, Russian-born Chicago-based cellist, singer and composer returned with a new eclectic program with special Guests, vocalist Susana Behar and Michel Gonzalez on the guitar.
Performing music ranged from J.S. Bach and his own original compositions, to a tribute to the music Ian has been drawing inspiration from since he was a kid consisting of songs by Russian artists including Grebenschikov, Vertinsky and Rosenbaum, and French pop songs by Serge Gainsbourg, Francis Cabrel and Patricia Kaas.
He was joined by a well-known South Florida singer Susana Behar for several selections from Cuba, Venezuela and music of Sephardic heritage.
