Male Goldfinch After the Rain Stopped
It's not just the females that stop by for some seeds, lately it's been mostly the more colorful males.
The day I took this it was raining most of the day but late in the day it stopped and I caught this guy mining away for seeds, it seems they dry out pretty quick.
Enjoying the bounty of sunflower seeds my daughter has growing on the deck. The American or Eastern Goldfinch is the state bird of New Jersey and a couple other states too but New Jersey was the first! :)
