I Held the Line - Clothesline That Is
Another macro from one of my "prized" possessions that's hung around the house since I cut and split the tree up for firewood back in the 1980's. The origin of the story is unknown but it starts with someone installing a clothes line pulley with a single four inch screw/eye bolt into a tree. Eventually the people moved on and forgot about the pulley which the tree engulfed as it continued to grow. For whatever reason, the tree was cut down and I acquired it's trunk for fire wood. While cutting it up, I saw about 40% of the pulley sticking out through the bark. I then cut and split the wood freeing the pulley to make a nice souvenir. A 1 1/2 inch long tip of the screw sticks out of the wood chunk and this pic shows 7/8 inch of that tip. Forty years of dust and whatever have given it an interesting appeal.
Macro Mondays, Theme: Rust

Lighting by 3 LED lights, one top back and two front, one each side of camera.
