Carlos Cruz-Diez - Colour Additive Panama Circles 2 [2010]
Carlos Cruz-Diez (Caracas, August 17, 1923 - Paris, July 27, 2019) was a Venezuelan artist said by some scholars to have been "one of the greatest artistic innovators of the 20th century.” His optical experiments focus on how colour and line can create a sensation of movement as the viewer’s relative position to the artwork changes. In 1959, he shifted the emphasis of his work from paint to coloured light.
