Jules-Cyrille Cavé - Meditation
Jules-Cyrille Cavé (Paris, January 4, 1859 - May 12, 1946) was a pupil of William-Adolphe Bouguereau and Tony Robert-Fleury. He was elected to the Salon of French Artists in 1886 and won bronze medals in 1889 and 1900 for genre scenes and floral still lifes. Cave's portraits of young girls and allegorical subjects were his most favoured and desired and these compositions brought him great financial success.
