Well, it's just one speedlite ;-)
This is a flash composite, made from seven shots. Each shot was illuminated with a hand-held octabox Firefly II in a different orientation with a TTL flash inside (YN-568C, triggered via YN-622). And then I did the fusion in Photoshop.
EXIF AND SETTINGS
5d3 with 24-70 f/2.8 at 50 mm and at f/16 (!, high DOF); JPEG format, WB on flash, 1/200 second, ISO 500 (I checked --- that still blocked the ambient light). The camera was on a tripod and I triggered it with a cable release. --- so one hand for the cable release, one hand for the softbox.
Flash on TTL, triggered via 2x YN-622C.
TRICKS AND NOTES
Note the high f-stop: I chose that to get the whole De Longhi sharp ...
If you want to try that: dont let Photoshop align the images, it will probabely not work --- but they should be ok. And then set all the blending modes on Lighter Color.
The perhaps most interesting trick is, that this type of shot does not require you to dim the lights, as if does not involve a long-time exposure ....
