The Door To The Twilight Zone

You've heard about the "Road To Nowhere" in Bryson City, well this is the famous "Door To Nowhere" in Ridgeway South Carolina. This was the door to their old high school which was torn down upon completion of the new school. They left the door and built a city park around it. ( Only in small town America. ) It is an excellent location for portrait shoots as is the rest of the beautiful small town. About 35-40 minutes south of Charlotte, North Carolina, this is where I plan to be to see the Total Eclipse on August 21, It's about the closest place to Charlotte to see the total eclipse. If you have a chance to see or photograph Ridgeway and/or Winnsboro across I-77 don't miss it.

Footnote to Ridgeway City Clerk: This doorway used to have beautiful Ivey growing down around the arch. Someone using their Non-Photographic eye decided to cut it down. All parks and cities need to consult a photographer before making changes, or to see if anything needs changing on their landmarks.
