The church was built in 1913 as an Episcopal Church. The current Orthodox parish purchased it in 1985 and began its restoration in 1986. The goal of the restoration and beautification is to blend the original beauty of the rich hand carved wood furnishings and stained glass with Orthodox iconography in a suitable manner.
