Simple concept:

- Wear a strange costume

- put santa hat on to denote the season

- stand absolutely still on the street with a bowl on the ground & sign that says "please donate"

- suddenly & unexpectly tickle strangers when they do put change into the bowl

 

... and hilarity ensues
