Just below Jackson Sqaure at Decatur, it is open 24 hours, serving up chicory-cut cafe au lait and beignets (powered sugar coated fried fritters) to locals and visitors alike. Someone told me that Café Du Monde only lost their awning in Katrina, but they didnt know if that was because of Jesus or the devil, because both are known to drink at Du Monde.
