350 Million Years and Still Going

The small but (in my mind at least) spectacular little rock known as Dunglass, just East of Strathblane. It is a 'Volcanic Plug' which is essentially the hard rocky core of a previously larger structure. The direction of much later glacial flow is clear from the bare, rocky front (to the right) and the protected leeward rear (to the left). A fascinating little piece of our geological past that should be here long after we are all gone and forgotten.
