Swans mean spring!
The swans and geese are returning! Tundra swans can generally be distinguished from trumpeter swans by the yellow spot between the beak and the corner of the eye. Juvenile swans can be grayish, but the rusty coloring on many of our swans is due to iron in the water dyeing their feathers.
