Ribbon in the sky

Aurora Borealis over interior Alaska, shot with my T3i and kit lens. One exposure, not a composite.

 

I actually toned this down in Lightroom to make it more realistic-looking. The sky here is amazing.

 

There is a lit-up radio tower behind the hill, and although it's not comparatively bright, I think it's the source of the slight backlighting at long exposures.
