For Azure
This water lily is being dedicated to Azure, a beautiful young woman who was presented with a major challenge in her young life this past year. Azure was diagnosed with an advanced stage of cancer that required extensive surgery followed by chemotherapy which left her with the typical ramifications of treatment. I have followed Azure’s progress on her father’s photo stream. www.flickr.com/photos/garrykinney/ The original diagnosis was a very devastating blow to the entire family with questions of how successful successive treatment would be. If you believe in the powers of prayer and positive thinking, Azure is proof of their ability. The pictures that Azure’s father posted through this process show the beauty of her spirit and strength of her smile. Azure is an inspiration in helping each of us realize that in order to overcome a challenge, you have to believe, then step up and meet it. And the good news, in her father’s words, “Azure just finished her last Chemotherapy treatment and is in complete remission without a trace of cancer anywhere!!!!”
