Tepuihyla edelcae, Ayarzaguena's Treefrog in habitat, Auyan Tepui, Canaima National Park, Bolivar, Venezuela

Once again the common name treefrog is a misnomer for this species on tepui summits. Tepuihyla edelcae is **very** rarely encountered in trees and only occasionally observed off the ground (only then in bromeliads or low lying shrubs).

This species is most commonly encountered calling from water at the edge of shallow ponds and marshes on the tepui summits.
