With the onset of the Lionfish invasion in 2008, the Cayman Islands Department of Environment approved the use of hand held nets under a culling license to cull/kill lionfish ostensibly to protect the reef fish populations from being decimated.
These 4 photos show local recreational divers with captured lionfish prior to euthanizing them.
