Alone

Found in a burn pile at the beachfront in Shizugawa, Minami-Sanriku.

 

For me, this symbolizes the power of the tsunami- the aftermath. Some child owned this toy. Odds are, with the toy being this close to the water, the child most likely did not live far away. That tells me that the owner of this toy probably did not survive.

 

Stark. Haunting.
