"humpback farm" Giethoorn, The Netherlands

 

The village has 2620 inhabitants and is known for its bridges, waterways and punters. It is called 'Dutch Venice'. Giethoorn is elongated and consists of three neighborhoods that are constantly staggered. In the north it is the Noordeinde, then the Middle-East follows and finally the southern end. The Dorpsgracht is the central axis of Giethoorn and ends in the south in the South Endiger Wijde. The farms and houses are separated by plot lakes that surround the house plots. The humpback farm is typical of Giethoorn. The farm seems to have a hump because the barn is higher than the house
