BR (ex LMS) Patriot class loco no. 45533 'Lord Rathmore' @ Edge Hill 8A - 1952
An old 120 negative taken in 1952 of British Railways (BR) locomotive no. 45533 at 8A Edge Hill.
45533 was a H. Fowler designed 'Patriot class' 4-6-0 engine built at the Derby Works and new to the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) in Apr 1933 carrying no. 5905 and named ' Lord Rathmore, renumbered to 5533 in Sep 1934. In 1948 the railways were nationalised, becoming British Railways (BR), the engine being renumbered as 45533 in Feb 1949. It was withdrawn from service in Sep 1962 then scrapped in the November.
