"Prefabs", Bristol, 1973.

Wartime prefabs ...or "prefrabs" as some used to pronounce it... seen from the junction of Plummer's Hill and Hudd's Vale Road, St George, Bristol, on Tuesday 16th January 1973.

Prefabs were local authority-owned in those days and all the dwellings are of uniform appearance. A monotonous effect is cunningly avoided by the application of three different colours to the exteriors of the little buildings.

I think some of these prefabs survive, probably in private hands and on the higher part of the slope.
