The Basilica of St. Josaphat

This is another photograph from this massive church on the south side of Milwaukee. The entire building is delicately detailed and ornate. it's a blast for me, given that I love to process these sorts of shots. but framing them is another story. I've gotten more familiar with framing them using live view to try to get them properly centered, but even so, it's so difficult with a wide angle lens and all that distortion on the edges. either way, I think it's easy to appreciate all of the work that goes in to this amazing church, regardless of faith.

on a separate note, I thought it was awesome to see the similarities, and down right identical nature to European churches, in this case, a beautiful image from Conor MacNeill (www.flickr.com/photos/thefella/5862834356/).
