China, Shanghai,...a cloud stucked on the SWFC, the 492 mtr high World Financial Center Tower..

China, Shanghai, “Shanghai World Financial Centre”, SWFC a 492 mtr high tower opened in 2008 & positioned in the Pudong financial district. The skyscraper consisting of offices, hotel, conference rooms, observation decks & ground-floor shopping malls. Park Hyatt Shanghai located in the tower comprising 174 rooms & suites occupying the 79th to the 93rd floors.

The SWFC opened to the public August 2008 with three separate observation decks the height of the lowest observation deck, located on the 94th floor, is 423 mtr; the second on the 97th floor at a height of 439 mtr & the highest, the skywalk, on the 100th floor, at 474 mtr.

The original design of the SWFC tower had a circle in the top of the tower, symbol of the rising sun, because of the past Chinese - Japanese history the controversial design was not accepted, as an alternative the top got the rectangular opening with the skywalk, leading to the nickname of the skyscraper the “Bottle opener”

Since weather changes very fast in Shanghai in can happen, you arrive at the SWFC in plain blue sky & sunshine, once you reach the top, takes about 1,5 hours depending on the line, a 15 minutes introduction of the SWCF, security checks & elevator occupancy, the weather has changed, you find yourself up in or above the clouds, but it changes again very fast.

However, it is worthwhile taking the time & spending some time really to explore the views & the different levels of the tower.
