France, Paris, Montmartre, Cabaret Moulin Rouge, district Pigalle, Boulevard de Clichy in the 18th arrondissement. The original house, founded in 1889, burned down in 1915, the cabaret had to close & was rebuilt in 1921 with 1500 seats, after a renovation during World War II, the sitting capacity was reduced to 900 seats.

The Moulin Rouge is best known as the birthplace of the modern form of the can-can dance & a place loved by artists, including Toulouse-Lautrec whose posters & paintings secured rapid & international fame for the Moulin Rouge

 

The Kitchen staff of 26 cooks in the kitchen create & prepare a gourmet menu from starter to dessert for 600 guests every evening, served by team of 120 waiters responsible for over 600,000 guests a year.

 

👉…. & a few more facts, …the Moulin Rouge has about 460 employees, 900 seats, offering 2 shows each evening for approx. 600.000 customers consuming around 240.000 bottles champagne per year, the Artistic team consists of a troupe of 80 performers, including 60 "Doriss Girls" recruited world-wide, minimum height of a "showgirl" 1,75 mtr, over 1000 traditional extravagant figure-hugging costumes of feathers, rhinestones & sequins, a costume for the "Can-Can Dance" weights 5 kg, a gigantic aquarium & a water ballet are other highly celebrated components,

….all this performed to original music recorded by 80 musicians & 60 chorus singers.
