Germany, Berlin, Haus Schwarzenberg,
Artist at work, ...
"play on Sundays, pray on Mondays, love on all days",
is written above the graffiti, I agree with two of them... 😎
The listed building "Schwarzenberg" is one place of Berlin's culture & is considered a tourist attraction of street art. It consists of exhibition rooms, the Anne Frank Centre, the Museum "Blindenwerkstatt Otto Weidt", the Cinema Central, studios & offices.
On the north side of the "Hackescher Markt" is the "Hackeschen Höfe" with a series of interconnected art nouveau courtyards highlighting shopping, entertainment & dining, a bit further up the street another courtyard is hidden away all on its own behind his humble portal, a hot spot of Berlin street art
Since street art is unpredictable & chaotic by its very nature, the art on display in the backstreet next to Haus Schwarzenberg changes on a more or less weekly basis, with new pieces being painted on, papered over, added to & repurposed in the constantly evolving collage that washes over this little urban oasis. Famous street artist have been known to add to the churn, the alley also features a famous painting of Anne Frank by Jimmy C that remains intact & untouched.
The existence of this vibrant cultural pocket is thanks primarily to "Haus Schwarzenberg", a non-profit arts organization that occupies the building adjoining the alley. Even more artwork can be found in the stairwells & shops located in the building.
👉 One World one Dream,
🙏...Danke, Xièxie 谢谢, Thanks, Gracias, Merci, Grazie, Obrigado, Arigatô, Dhanyavad, Chokrane to you & over
