China, Hong Kong, not such a nice Wednesday morning for photo shooting, however….

The HK Convention & Exhibition Centre, located in Wan Chai North at the Victoria Harbour. The HKCEC with its vast curtain of glass overlooking the Victoria Harbour on three sides & 40,000-square-metre aluminium roof sculpted to echo a seabird soaring in flight, also referred to as a turtle, is a major landmark on the Hong Kong Island skyline.

Internationally, the HKCEC is known as a world-class convention & exhibition centre & was voted Best Convention & Exhibition Centre in Asia for the 13 times by industry awards in 2016.

The original building was built on reclaimed land off Gloucester Road in 1988. The second phase of the centre, located on an artificial island, was constructed from 1994 to 1997 & another expansion during 2006–2009.

The HKCEC was the backdrop for the Handover Ceremony on 30 June 1997, when the former British Crown Colony was returned to the People's Republic of China & the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was established.
