CSX GP35 #4306
Built for the L&N, CSXT #4306 was a unique member of the fleet as the GP35s were either retired or rebuilt into slugs fairly early in the CSX era. #4306 was one of the 35s to get CSX paint and also featured a lack of dynamic brakes. It was eventually rebuilt into a RDMT during the second set of slugs built in 1991. Here the engine is pictured at Fulton Yard in Richmond Va on May 13th 1989. Doug Boyd photo, JL Sessa collection.
