(10) Simple Handmade Ferns
I started with some easy plants and am happy to have completed 2 small ferns today while my little guy was napping. This took less than 15 minutes for two plants.
I used a few plastic fern fronds that I had on display in my house and cut off small pieces for my mini ferns.
The cool thing I learned today is that clear Mod Podge Dimensional Magic mixed with coffee grounds makes a great soil medium/glue.
1. Cut plant pieces to size.
2. Fill pot with clear Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.
3. Add coffee grounds (fresh or used/dry). Stir with a toothpick.
4. Add small bits of plants. The Mod Podge/coffee has enough mass to hold the plants erect so they dry in a nice formation.
5. Add small bits of dry coffee grounds to the top for loose soil.
6. Let dry. Done!!!
