Minha exposição de fotos sobre Nova York não poderia ficar e não ficará sem fotos do Empire State. A lembrança mais antiga que tenho deste prédio é de 1976. Na época, a segunda versão de King Kong foi lançada, e aproveitando o sucesso do filme a TV passou a versão original, onde o Empire State é o local da cena final, aquela em que você torce por Kong até o final trágico. Anos depois, mais uma vez refilmaram King Kong. Gostaria que desta vez ele levasse a melhor. Não levou. Mas a caracterização de Nova York e do Empire State no filme estão espetaculares.
My photo exhibition about New York couldn't stay without photos of the Empire State building and will not be without them. The earliest memory I have of this building is from 1976. At the time, the second version of King Kong was released in the cinema, and building on the success of the film, the TV showed the original version, where the Empire State is the site of the final scene, the one where you are pulling for Kong until the tragic end that everyone knows. Years later, once again reshot King Kong. Unfortunately, once again, Kong looses. But the characterization of New York and the Empire State building in the movie are spectacular.
