This striking photo of lightning on the Colorado plains was captured by James Boone of Boone Photographics. James used his Nikon D5 and Tamron 24-70 f2.8 lens along with a Fotodiox Wonderpana CPL filter to capture the shot. James's says "I like the CPL for lightning to assist with colors and to prevent blow outs of the highlights."
