The Dorset Aisle (see description)
The Dorset Aisle is a fan-vaulted aisle ceiling in St Mary's Church in Ottery St Mary, Devon. It was added to the north side of the church in the early 16th century.
The aisle has a fan vault with hanging pendants in the centre.
The fan conoids are polygonal, rather than circular, which is unusual for fan vaulting.
The aisle was funded by Lady Cicely Bonneville, who was married to the Marquis of Dorset.
Handheld iPhone panorama, subsequently battered (edited) in Snapseed on iPad Pro.
