Coming from different backgrounds and cultures, Jim Breyer and Hugo Shong both started investing in tech during the emergence of dotcoms in early 1990s. They both enjoyed a stellar track record of spotting and investing in promising tech startups in their respective countries. In 2005 the two established one of the first American-Chinese venture investing partnerships. And today they continue to invest together and be both keen learners of and investors in artificial intelligence.
