This was a day club that I conceived and ran solo for a year in Manchester. It must have been around 1997?
It was held in Manchester's first internet cafe called Cyberia. A vast, long space on Oxford Rd.
Andy & Darren from 808 State kindly dropped in every Sunday that this was on to play tunes and hang out. I had a huge amount of DJs from Manchester at the time come down and play tunes "that they would like to listen to over a beer on a Sunday". I wanted to do something different and noone seemed to be doing anything in the day at the time.
These are flyers from that time and they also happen to be the first thing I ever designed. Designing these flyers fuelled a passion for design and made me hungry for more. I wouldn't be doing what I do today had I actually found someone to design the flyers for the club sessions.
