It was a very elating experience to be welcomed by the Nikko Mayor and the Governor of the province. Hosts of a sumptuous dinner in Kinugawa Grand Hotel where we were billeted, also present was the Chief of the Ttourism Office (forgot the name) of the province as they were happy to see that tourism is flourishing back in this once vibrant place of tourists. After the triple disaster, visitors have drastically declined as there was a misconception that the whole province of Tochigi was among the severely affected. But I saw no damage in their infrastructures. Roads, brindges and buildings were intact and no cracks whatsoever. So I guess our visit was just perfect as we felt the feeling of being important. lol
