GVB - Siemens Combino (13G/C1), 2097 (vtwonen), tram 2, Hoofddorpplein (Amsterdam)
This weekend a total of six Combino’s were equipped with commercial advertising and one more tram will follow this evening. The 2085 is advertising for Asics, the 2090, 2091, 2093 for River Island (the 2089 will be added to this list this evening), the 2097 for vtwonen and the 2099 for Rabobank. The last two Combino’s are a bit odd, as the Combino’s 2085-2094 are preferred to be used for the advertisement (the 2086 and 2092 are still white/blue at the moment).
The Combino’s with the higher numbers (2073-2130, 2145-2151) are mainly being used on tram lines 3, 4, 7, 9, 12 and 14 (these tram lines are operated from the Lekstraat Depot), so an advertisement tram on the tram lines that are operated from the Havenstraat Depot (1, 2, 10, 13 and 17) is not very common. Today the 2097 is running from the Havenstraat Depot and the tram could be found on tram line 2.
